Software Architect within Rendering

About the Position

Join 3Shape as a Software Architect within Rendering to shape the trajectory of our innovative products and software applications.

Responsibilities

• Writing and reviewing code related to rendering covering desktop applications, web/cloud, and mobile applications.
• Active technical community management. Facilitate technical discussions and decisions within the space of rendering. Assembling the team. Be active and driving the discussions forward.
• Orchestrate and document the technical direction within rendering. Balance the (sometimes) contradictory needs and strike the right trade-offs. Drive the community towards decision and execution. Govern that decisions are followed, ensuring we move toward the northern star.
• Communicate within the rendering community, the greater developer audience, management, and product management. Be the persistent voice of converged rendering.
• Have fun!

Requirements

• A technically well-anchored person within rendering. Someone who writes and reviews code. Ideally on a variety of tech stacks covering desktop applications, web, and mobile applications. This is not an ivory tower position.
• Someone with an architectural perspective, as you will own the technical architecture across platforms. Someone that thinks two steps ahead and empowers developers to create towards the northern star.
• A pragmatic leader. A person that navigates and balances the space between existing tech debt, the northern star vision, and sometimes urgent product needs.
• A communicator. Someone who thrives talking tech and reviewing code in the morning and aligning with product management in the afternoon.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
