Software Development Team Manager

About the Position

We are currently seeking a Software Development Team Manager for our client, an international financial sector company. The role is based in Warszawa, Poland.

Responsibilities

• Building a new team of developers to work on internal client projects;
• Managing a team of JAVA developers;
• Overseeing the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of applications developed by the team;
• Planning and managing the budget;
• Evaluating and planning the development and career paths of the team;
• Participating in projects and managing ongoing tasks using popular tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira);
• Acting as a technical mentor in project work;

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience;
• Higher education in IT;
• Experience in managing a team and technical knowledge of Java application development and commonly used libraries and tools;
• Strong analytical and communication skills;
• Very good knowledge of English due to work in an English-speaking environment;
• Experience in building and managing a development team;
• Experience in managing a distributed team is a plus;
• Knowledge of software production process practices and techniques;
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment;
• Ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge of the latest trends and technologies in practice;
• Experience in managing projects using agile and waterfall methodologies;
