As a Software Engineer - Backend, you’ll primarily be developing and maintaining features for our Driver app and its relevant APIs. In this role, you will be the backbone to every product; optimizing new and existing algorithms that make our operations run smoothly. You will design, implement, and launch scalable systems to build new products, features, and services as well as improve existing ones. As Lalamove continues its rapid expansion, our products must be able to support the growth coming from our users, drivers, and orders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features for our Driver app and its relevant APIs
• Optimize new and existing algorithms to ensure smooth operations
• Design, implement, and launch scalable systems for new and existing products
• Improve existing features and services

Requirements

• 2+ years hand-on experience in Backend development (Preferably in Java) with University graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields
• Sound Knowledge of middlewares such as Redis/ElasticSearch/Kafka/RabbitMQ will be an advantage
• Solid experience in building backend microservices and APIs
• Experience in MySQL
• Experience/exposure to cloud services (AWS)
• Be flexible, grow, and learn quickly in a startup environment
• Good team player, self-motivated and able to work independently
• Good communication skills in written and spoken English

Nice to Have

• Experience with other middlewares and cloud services
