Job description
About the Position
Software Intern - Internal Automation
Def-tech company in Lviv, Ukraine is looking for passionate students and interns who love coding and want to learn how to build real products. This role is not just for a line on your resume, but because you genuinely enjoy creating things.
The job is simple in essence but challenging in execution: to identify real pain points in operational processes, understand them thoroughly, and create solutions that alleviate this pain. It's not about gathering requirements and passing them on, but about bringing a product to a working state with your own hands.
Responsibilities
- Dive into specific operational processes and identify where the pain points are
- Design and write code that automates routines
- Lead solutions from idea to completed working product
- Coordinate with the team and end-users
Requirements
- You love coding-code is a tool for creation, not an obligation
- You think in terms of products-you see solutions to real problems of real people, not just tasks in a tracker
- You have systemic thinking-able to see the process as a whole system, not a random set of steps
- You have built something before-have a completed personal project to show. Size doesn't matter; what matters is that it's finished
- You have seen many different products and understand why some work and others don't
- You can bring tasks to completion-organize yourself, coordinate, don't lose details, push the result through
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with automation tools or platforms for building processes
- Experience with APIs or internal tools
- Interest in defence tech or operating systems
We Offer
- Paid internship-compensation will be agreed upon during the interview
- Full-time: 40 hours/week (flexible schedule as needed)
- Duration: 3 months with the possibility of full-time employment afterward
- Comfortable office in Lviv with a flexible schedule
- Vacation according to Ukrainian legislation; sick leave with a doctor's note
- Assigned mentor for the entire internship period
- Internal training: lectures, courses, thematic meetups
- Payment for AI tools, licenses, and necessary software
- Recommendation letter from the mentor or supervisor (upon request)
- Corporate events, team-building activities, all-hands meetings
- Sports activities: football, table tennis, zumba, online yoga
- Ergonomic workspace, new equipment, equipped shelter
- Fresh fruits, snacks, beverages
