About the Position
Special Equipment Mechanical Engineer
Join Ajax Systems, a leading European manufacturer of security systems, as a Special Equipment Mechanical Engineer in our Automation Department – Automation Mechanical Team. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom equipment for testing, calibration, and assembly of devices in manufacturing.
- Collaborate with electronics developers.
- Coordinate projects with colleagues and clients, preparing engineering documentation for scaling equipment.
- Assemble and set up the first 2-3 units of equipment.
- Provide engineering support in solving problems that arise in mass production.
- Maintain and improve existing test stand projects, fixtures, test blocks, and other custom equipment.
Requirements
- Experience in designing equipment, assembling various parts/components, or devices and their individual parts.
- Knowledge of the principles and features of designing non-standard equipment.
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar software.
- Knowledge of materials and operations used in designing non-standard equipment.
- Experience in prototyping, identifying, and resolving design issues.
- Ability to balance cost/quality/maintainability/ease of use of equipment.
- Technical education.
