We are seeking a Sr Site Reliability Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team at PedidosYa, ensuring the resilience and performance of our critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and Implementation of Resilience (Hands-on): Instrument metrics (SLIs), configure SLOs, and build Error Budget dashboards in the code and infrastructure of critical services.
• Building Observability as a Platform: Develop and integrate instrumentation libraries, agents, and monitoring architectures (Golden Signals: latency, traffic, errors, saturation) using tools like Grafana and Datadog.
• Technical Incident Resolution and Management: Participate in on-call rotations, lead the technical resolution of critical incidents, perform deep debugging, and execute blameless post-mortems with concrete action items.
• Infrastructure Evolution and Deployments: Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) components, manage cluster health/migration, and automate CI/CD pipelines to ensure safe deployment testing and automatic rollbacks.
• Load and Capacity Testing Execution: Design, execute, and analyze global stress/load tests on the platform to identify failure points before they impact production.
• Automation and Elimination of Toil: Code tools, scripts, and self-service solutions to eliminate recurring manual tasks in the software lifecycle.
• Applied Operational Security: Implement vulnerability scans, configure secure secret management, and respond technically to security incidents affecting availability.

Requirements

• +5 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or platform-oriented Software Engineering roles.
• Programming and Scripting: Solid experience writing clean and maintainable code in Go (Golang), Python, Java, or Kotlin for developing internal tools, bots, instrumentation libraries, and automations.
• Cloud, Containers, and Orchestration: Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS) and automation with Terraform or CloudFormation. Extensive hands-on experience in the administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of Kubernetes and Docker.
• Observability and CI/CD Ecosystem: Direct experience configuring and debugging monitoring, tracing, and logging tools (Grafana, Datadog, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry). Experience in continuous integration (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD) and implementation of advanced deployment strategies (canary, blue/green, automatic rollback).
• Databases & Caching: Technical knowledge about the behavior, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Technical Collaboration: Willingness to share technical solutions, document runbooks, and guide other engineers through technical example (pair programming, code reviews, and post-mortems).
