We are seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join our team at Steel Industry in Crawfordville, IN. This is a direct hire opportunity, and the selected candidate will be employed directly by our client.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with senior and professional engineers on structural engineering projects.
- Design and draft steel structures using engineering and design tools such as Autodesk Inventor.
- Work directly with customers to understand project requirements and support design solutions.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, drawings, and technical deliverables.
- Track and report project progress to internal teams, engineers, and customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet quality, schedule, and customer requirements.
- Learn and apply Nucor's engineering standards, processes, and procedures.
- Participate in ongoing professional learning and development opportunities.
Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in structural engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and steel structures.
- Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, customers, and project teams.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple project priorities.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing steel structures.
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D design/drafting software.
- Customer-facing engineering or project experience.
- Experience preparing technical documentation, drawings, and project reports.

- Competitive salary range: $110,000 - $120,000 per annum.
