System Engineer

About the Position
We are currently seeking a System Engineer for one of our clients, an international IT company specializing in delivering solutions for various sectors including space & defense, transportation, and more. This role is based in Darmstadt, Germany.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance and evolution of system design – ground segment system of satellites
- Maintenance of system requirements, interfaces, and design baseline
- Modeling systems using MBSE Approach
- Reviewing system evolutions and supporting IV&V
- Providing support for mission routine operations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering fields (IT, aerospace engineering, etc.)
- At least 6 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience with at least one ground system segment of an earth observation satellite
- Experience in at least one of the following areas: payload data processing systems, mission monitoring and control systems, data archiving and dissemination systems, ground segment integration, verification, and validation
- Fluency in English – international projects
