About the Position
Genesis, a co-founding company that builds global tech businesses with outstanding entrepreneurs from CEE, is currently searching for a dedicated and enthusiastic Tax Associate. Our apps have been downloaded by more than 300 million users globally and are used by tens of millions of users monthly. Responsibilities
- Conduct research on various international tax matters, including case law.
- Track changes in tax laws and regulations in countries where the company is represented.
- Contribute to the analysis of tax implications on business decisions.
- Aid in identifying and minimizing tax risks.
- Assist in managing tax and compliance aspects within the Group.
- Help in developing tax structures for our international entities.
- Assist in preparing tax returns for various jurisdictions.
- Contribute to internal and external tax audits.
Requirements
- BA/BS or MA/MS degree in economics, business, or other related fields.
- 2+ years of work experience in international tax (experience in the Big 4 or top-niche boutique consulting firms will be preferable).
- Strong desire to dive into and explore new countries' tax legislation.
- Strong research skills (e.g., using databases like IBFD, Tax Analyst, CCH Answer Connect, etc.).
- Basic understanding of international tax principles, familiarity with tax treaties, key tax concepts, and acronyms such as OECD, BEPS, ATAD, and DAC.
- English proficiency (upper-intermediate, advanced), with strong communication skills.
- Practical experience with MS Excel.
- Tech-savvy, demonstrating openness and adaptability to new technologies.
