Team Lead Data Scientist (Machine Learning)

About the Position

We are seeking a Team Lead Data Scientist (Machine Learning) to join our team in Dnipro, Ukraine. This role is full-time and offers a remote work option.

We are looking for a strong, hands-on Data Scientist to take the lead of our rapidly growing team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of data scientists and machine learning engineers.
• Drive the strategy of the Data Science team and turn it into a reality within your team by improving processes and best practices.
• Identify technical debt and challenges and drive the team to reduce them by introducing new methods, technologies, and tools.
• Drive revenue growth by identifying qualified business opportunities, leading business initiatives, and developing new solutions.
• Understand, plan, control, and implement parallel working R&D processes on multiple tasks and projects running simultaneously by handing responsibilities and assigning tasks to different team members.
• Balance between "the best solution" and time efficiency solution.
• Assertive in conflict management.
• Manage projects and tickets using systems like Jira, Monday, or Trello.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in statistics, math, computer science, or engineering.
• 5+ years of ML experience.
• Experienced at Python3.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
• Proven experience in industrial production projects.
• The ability to work on several projects in parallel.
• English at least upper intermediate.
• 2 of the following points are essential:
  • A passion for and experience in mentoring/leading/supporting other members in a team.
  • Experience in planning data science projects from initial.
  • Managerial experience.
