Team Lead / Tech Lead (PHP Laravel backend stack)

Responsibilities

• Technical leadership of squad delivery (3 Senior PHP Laravel developers, DevOps, QA)
• Collaboration with the Engineering Principal / Transformation Lead
• Planning, estimation, code review, and quality oversight
• Maturing the team's ways of working
• Architectural decisions for the Transformation Squad
• Mentoring team members
• Reporting status and risks

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial PHP/Laravel development experience, including 2+ years as a Tech Lead/Team Lead
• Strong PHP/Laravel/MySQL knowledge
• Experience leading a team of 4-6 people
• Code review experience
• Understanding of CI/CD and GCP
• Confident English (B2+)

Nice to Have

• Monolith-to-microservice migration experience
• Couchbase/Redis/MongoDB/RabbitMQ
• Outsourced/nearshore experience with UK/EU clients
• E-commerce/marketplace experience
• GCP certifications
