About the Position

We are developing a unique feature for high-end speakers that includes a 5-inch round display embedded in each speaker cabinet. The display will enhance the user experience by showing VU meters, album art, and song information using Shazam integration.
Technical Details:
- Platform: Android 12 customized for Orange Pi 5 Pro.
- Display: 5" round display with a resolution of 1024x1024.
- Development Language: Java and Kotlin.
- Features:
- VU meters (variety of colors, types, and spatial scopes for user customization).
- Album art and song info display.
- WiFi and Bluetooth-enabled for internet connectivity.
- OTA (Over-the-Air) updates for future revisions (approach TBD; might involve app store for updates).
- Future requirement: Sync between two units, allowing a single change to reflect on both.
Responsibilities
- Design UI/UX for mobile applications.
- Create layouts and prototypes using Figma or similar tools.
- Focus on audio application designs (e.g., apps for managing headphones or speakers like Bose or Sony).
- Collaborate closely with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in designing mobile apps for iOS and Android.
- Proficiency in design tools (Figma or alternatives).
- Experience with audio-related apps (e.g., headphones or speaker management).
- Familiarity with designing for custom displays, especially round screens.
- A strong portfolio showcasing mobile app designs.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with UX design for brands like Bose, Sony, or similar.
- Experience with IoT or smart device applications.
- Understanding of ShazamKit or similar third-party integrations.
