About the Position
Aurora Omsorg AS is seeking nurses/caregivers and environment therapists for our children's home in Sandnessjøen.
The children's home is a tailored living facility for children and youth aged 13–18 years. The target group includes individuals with diagnoses within the autism spectrum and intellectual disabilities, and the youth have individual and complex needs.
At Aurora Omsorg, you will play a crucial role in the daily lives of these young people. You will work closely with individuals, contributing to safety, predictability, mastery, and development through good relationships and structured environment therapy.
Your workday will be both meaningful and professionally challenging. We work according to principles of trauma-informed care and follow the provisions of the Health and Care Services Act. You will become part of a professional environment where collaboration, reflection, and development are central.
Upon joining, your work will primarily involve following up on one user.
Responsibilities
- Direct environment therapy work
- Close follow-up in 2:1 staffing
- Monitoring goals, measures, and daily routines
- Monitoring provisions of the Health and Care Services Act
- Documentation and professional reporting
- Collaboration with colleagues, relatives, and other relevant authorities
- Participation in training in harm reduction techniques
- Responsibilities and roles adapted to competence and qualifications, such as health and medical responsibility
- Actively contribute to a safe, structured, and professionally sound environment for the youth
Requirements
Sykepleier/Vernepleier (Nurse/Caregiver)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or caregiving
- Norwegian authorization
Miljøterapeut (Environment Therapist)
- Relevant three-year college or university degree in health, social, or child-related fields
For begge stillingene er det ønskelig at du har (For both positions, it is desirable that you have):
- Experience working with autism and intellectual disabilities
- Experience with trauma-informed care (TIC) and/or strategic environment therapy
- Knowledge of the Health and Care Services Act
- Good Norwegian language skills, both oral and written
- Good skills in documentation and professional collaboration
A valid police certificate must be submitted before employment.
