Work Controller

About the Position

Flexsource NI are recruiting a Work Controller in the North Belfast area. This is a full-time position, offering 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, on a temporary basis, paying £16.50 per hour. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and analytical individual with experience in customer-focused or operational environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating work activities, supporting operational teams, and ensuring high levels of customer service through effective scheduling, monitoring, and resource management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, schedule, and optimise both planned and reactive work activities across operational teams.
• Monitor workloads and resource availability to ensure customer requirements are prioritised and service disruption is minimised.
• Analyse operational and system data to identify issues, incidents, and service interruptions, enabling swift resolution.
• Track ongoing work activities through to completion, maintaining accurate records and system updates.
• Liaise with operational managers, contractors, and stakeholders to support effective service delivery.
• Review performance data and operational metrics, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Chair and contribute to performance review meetings, monitoring progress against service objectives.
• Produce and distribute management reports, presenting data and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, including process reviews, automation opportunities, and service enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and operational procedures while maintaining excellent customer service standards.

Requirements

• 5+ GCSE’s including Maths and English, and at least 1 year’s experience in a customer-focused or operational environment involving data analysis and system interpretation.
• Experience communicating effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work to challenging targets and deadlines within a customer service or regulated environment.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to team objectives.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Access to transport to facilitate attendance during early starts, emergency situations, and on-call requirements.

Nice to Have

• Experience working within a utilities, infrastructure, or operational services environment.
• Knowledge of operational networks, asset management, or work control systems.
