About the Position
Workforce Software Engineer (Time & Attendance)
Are you a Workforce Management expert who thrives at the intersection of technology and business? Do you love designing smart, scalable solutions that make a real difference to how people experience work? If so, Swiss Re has an exciting opportunity for you!
As a Workforce Software Engineer (Time & Attendance) at Swiss Re, you will be at the heart of our HR technology transformation, owning and evolving our Workforce Management and Time & Attendance solutions across multiple countries. This is a role where your technical depth meets strategic thinking - you will shape how thousands of employees experience time management and attendance processes globally. From designing elegant solutions to resolving complex production challenges, you will leave your mark on a platform that truly matters.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver end-to-end Workforce Software solutions across the full lifecycle - from requirements analysis and solution design through to development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Act as the technical subject matter expert for Workforce Software, providing authoritative guidance on configuration, integration, and solution architecture to engineers, Product Owners, and business stakeholders.
- Translate complex business requirements into practical, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions that align with Swiss Re's architecture, security, and governance standards.
- Lead and manage integrations between Workforce Software and the broader HR technology landscape, including APIs, file-based interfaces, SQL, and scripting technologies.
- Support and resolve complex production issues, applying strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to ensure platform stability, security, and resilience.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, engineers, and external partners to deliver solutions that meet evolving business and regulatory requirements across different countries.
- Drive continuous improvement and modernization of the Workforce Management platform, identifying opportunities to enhance performance, maintainability, and user experience.
- Provide technical leadership on workstreams, mentoring team members, and ensuring delivery quality across Agile-based project cycles.
- Support global and multi-country implementations, ensuring country-specific Time & Attendance requirements are accurately captured and delivered.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience with Workforce Software, particularly Time & Attendance modules, including implementation, configuration, enhancement, and production support.
- Strong knowledge of Workforce Management concepts, including timekeeping, attendance tracking, scheduling, and integration with HR and payroll systems.
- Proven experience designing and delivering Workforce Software solutions across the full project lifecycle, from requirements analysis and solution design through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
- Solid experience with integration technologies, including APIs, file-based interfaces, SQL, and scripting or development tools.
- Demonstrated experience with global or multi-country implementations, including managing country-specific Time & Attendance and regulatory requirements.
Nice to Have
- Workforce Software certifications such as PT102, PT001, PT002, PT003, PT105, PT106, or equivalent Time & Attendance / Workforce Management certifications.
- Experience working within Agile delivery frameworks and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex application and integration issues.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and guiding solution design decisions.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
We Offer
- A hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
