Working Student Software Development Python (m/f/d)

About the Position

We are looking for working students who enjoy software development and are particularly confident in the Python environment. Experience in other text-based programming languages is an advantage (especially C++). Depending on the project, working with LabVIEW may also play a role (but is not essential).

A structured and reliable way of working is important to us. You should be able to work through issues independently and comprehensibly, familiarize yourself with existing software projects, and contribute your fundamental knowledge of modern software architecture. Git should not be a foreign concept to you. You should also be able to navigate legacy code well when it comes to fixing bugs. Experience with databases is also desirable.

Since we develop customer-specific solutions, you should also be able to quickly familiarize yourself with our customers' various technical domains in order to develop a deep understanding of the requirements and implementation of the software.

Experience with the Qt framework would be desirable.

• Application development for projects in the field of test automation
• Development of modular, scalable, testable, and maintainable code
• Participation in the design of software architectures for test system applications
• Analysis and maintenance of existing software applications

Requirements

• Python: Confident working in the Python environment
• Other Skills: Experience in other text-based languages (especially C++) is an advantage
• LabVIEW: May be relevant depending on the project, but is not a must
• Comprehensive Work: Ability to work through issues in a comprehensible manner and quickly familiarize yourself with existing software projects
• Software Architecture: Basic knowledge of modern software architecture and working with databases
• Version Control: Git is not a foreign concept to you
• Legacy Code: Ability to navigate legacy code in order to fix specific bugs
• Customer Understanding: Ability to quickly understand our customers' technical domains
• Qt Framework: Ideally, you have already gained some experience with the Qt framework
