About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Projekt-/Systemingenieur Steuerung und Überwachung und Verteilsystem to join our team in Kiel, Germany. This role involves working on control and monitoring systems, server-/client-systems, and data distribution.

Responsibilities

Analyse customer requirements in the field of control and monitoring systems, server-/client-systems, and data distribution, and translate them into technical specifications.
Create system specifications, design descriptions, interface documents, and delivery documents.
Select suitable hardware, software, and subcontractors considering maritime standards and IT security guidelines.
Configure and implement control and monitoring applications, server-/client-systems, and data distribution components.
Analyse existing system architectures to select optimal solutions.
Conduct technical meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including security clearances.
Participate in the creation of test documentation and security proofs.
Coordinate national and international agreements with shipyards, suppliers, classification societies, and authorities.

Requirements

Must-haves

Comprehensive experience in the field of information/electro/communications engineering or comparable qualifications.
Knowledge of systems engineering and the V-Modell.
Experience with control and monitoring systems.
Experience with server, client, and virtualization technologies.
Experience with data distribution systems.
Knowledge of information security requirements.
Experience in creating technical specifications and interface documentation.
Proficient use of MS Office.
Fluency in German and English.

Nice-to-haves

Experience with the requirements management software DOORS.
Knowledge of network architectures.
Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or similar platforms.
Knowledge of maritime communication systems.
Experience with security proofs.
