About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Consultant AI Strategy for Financial Service to develop a transformative AI strategy for a leading financial institution.

Responsibilities

Development of a AI-Transformationsstrategie for a large, internationally active financial services company.
Evaluation of maturity levels, definition of a KI-Vision and strategic goals, design of a target operating model across central capability dimensions, prioritization of high-value use cases, and creation of an actionable roadmap for scalable implementation.

Requirements

Must-haves

A solid understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its strategic impact.
Strong conceptual, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to structure complex AI-related challenges in corporate environments independently.
Experience in conducting workshops with departments and central corporate functions.
Ability to develop strategic solutions and translate strategic goals into actionable recommendations, roadmaps, and decision templates.

Qualifications

A degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Economics, (Business) Informatics, Engineering, or a comparable quantitative, technological, or strategically oriented field.
At least 4 years of relevant professional experience in strategy, transformation, data, or AI consulting or in a comparable strategic corporate function.
In-depth understanding of current AI and Generative-AI-Technologies (GenAI), relevant market developments, and their strategic impact on companies.
Proven experience in developing AI strategies and AI-driven corporate transformation.
Experience in independently managing work packages, project strands, or smaller consulting projects in complex stakeholder environments.
Experience in assessing the business and technical feasibility of use cases.
Experience in the Financial Service/Banking sector.
Experience in designing and moderating workshops and stakeholder sessions with departments, technology, risk, compliance, data protection, security, or other corporate functions.
Ability to translate strategic objectives and complex business, organizational, regulatory, or technological challenges into concrete target images, roadmaps, and decision templates.
Strong skills in creating structured, visually compelling, and management-friendly presentations.
Professional communication and stakeholder management skills in direct customer contact.
Fluent in German and English.

Technology Stack

Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Familiarity with modern AI and Generative-AI tools (GenAI), including enterprise copilots or AI agent solutions used in professional corporate environments.
Experience with common collaboration and remote work tools.
Additional experience with solutions and tools from the areas of data analysis, analytics, AI governance, operating models, or strategy is considered an advantage.

Nice-to-haves

Experience in conducting AI maturity, readiness, or governance assessments and deriving prioritized strategic recommendations.
Experience in identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing AI use cases and managing AI portfolios or transformation roadmaps.
Experience in developing AI operating models (Operating Models), governance frameworks, and defining roles, responsibilities, and lifecycle processes.
Knowledge of relevant AI regulations and requirements for Responsible AI, particularly the EU AI Act.
Experience in developing concepts for AI adoption, qualification, and training (Upskilling), communication, and enabling executives.
Understanding of the organizational, procedural, data-related, security-related, and technological requirements for scaling AI within a company.
Ideally, industry experience in the financial services sector, industry, logistics, or another complex or regulated corporate environment.
