3D Hair Artist

About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative 3D Hair Artist to join our team at Keywords Studios. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, grooming, and texturing realistic and stylized hair assets for characters in game projects. You will work closely with character artists, Leads, AD, and technical teams to ensure high-quality results that align with the artistic vision and technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, groom, and texture realistic and stylized hair assets for game characters.
• Collaborate with character artists, Leads, AD, and technical teams to meet artistic and technical requirements.
• Utilize software such as Maya/Blender, ZBrush, XGen, Photoshop CC, Substance Painter, Unreal Engine, and Unity.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in hair modeling, grooming, and texturing.
• Proficiency in Maya/Blender, ZBrush, XGen, Photoshop CC, Substance Painter, Unreal Engine, and Unity.
• Strong knowledge of real-time and pre-rendered hair workflows.
• Strong understanding of texture and color theory.
• Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
