Responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily accounting transactions in the accounting system.
• Process sales, purchase, bank, inventory, and general ledger transactions.
• Prepare and post journal entries and accounting adjustments.
• Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, customer balances, supplier balances, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare payroll calculations and related accounting entries.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare account reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and supporting schedules.
• Support the Chief Accountant and Financial Controller in day-to-day finance activities.
• Assist with statutory reporting, tax compliance, audits, and accounting process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements, including consolidation accounting and group reporting.
• Experience working with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in payroll calculation and processing.
• Good knowledge of the Cyprus accounting, tax, and regulatory environment.
• Experience with VAT, payroll, tax filings, and statutory reporting in Cyprus will be considered a strong advantage.
