Accountant I

About the Position

Responsibilities

• Handle general ledger tasks, including journal entries, month-end close, and financial system support
• Perform bank reconciliations and financial analysis to ensure accuracy of reports
• Maintain strong internal controls and organized records for compliance and audit readiness
• Manage tax filings and regulatory requirements, supporting audits with necessary documentation
• Collaborate with teams, uphold company policies, and stay updated on accounting standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy with at least two years of experience in general accounting, general ledger, or financial reporting roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, reconciliations, and month-end close processes, with a track record of delivering accurate results.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and automated accounting systems such as Oracle.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain exceptional attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, combined with a proactive mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.

Nice to Have

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
• Experience in external audit or working closely with auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Demonstrated success identifying process improvements that enhance financial controls, efficiency, or reporting quality.
