About the Position

Job Description

What You'll Do:
As an Automation Technician, you and your team play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the warehousing process, contributing to successful retail fulfillment and outstanding performance. Your tasks will include:

• Maintaining, planning, and troubleshooting the technical condition of high-rise warehouses and material handling systems in the DCE
• Performing scheduled and unscheduled electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs according to the maintenance plan: material handling systems (chains, roller and belt conveyors), automatic stacking machines, lifting equipment, Strema packaging machines
• Working in the company's IT systems (WinCC viewer, SAP, PMS)
• Providing support during the implementation of projects running in the DCE
• Fixing errors that arise during the installation of automation
• Collaborating with external maintenance and technical service companies
• Cooperating with all departments of the distribution center
• Adhering to occupational safety and fire protection regulations
• Ensuring compliance with mandatory PPE (personal protective equipment) rules and enforcement
• Cost optimization: energy consumption, film consumption optimization in Strema packaging machines, repair of storage platforms and cages
• Performing repair work at height
• Committing to a permanent night shift work schedule

Requirements

• Relevant education, ideally in automation technology, material handling machine assembly, electrician
• Openness to acquiring new knowledge and processes
• Physical fitness
• Higher education and English language skills are advantageous
• 2-3 years of professional experience in a similar field
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability and willingness to perform work at height
• Ability and willingness to perform work in confined spaces
• Industrial mountaineering or industrial mountaineering assistant qualification is advantageous
• Crane operator qualification is advantageous
• Experience in using industrial IT systems
• Proactive attitude, good stress tolerance
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and achieve excellent results
• Ability to concentrate on details
• Good communication and cooperation skills, as well as a customer-oriented approach
• Commitment to completing required training for the job
