About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Android Developer for Automotive Project to join our team in Bucharest, Romania, focusing on developing next-generation In-Vehicle Infotainment systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Android applications for automotive infotainment systems using Kotlin and Java.
- Develop ICL functionality using the Qt framework, in line with project scope and requirements.
- Implement client-specific features using scripting languages.
- Work with Customer requirements (analysis, clarification, implementation) according to the project scope and plan.
- Implement new features and adapt existing applications in the AAOS/AOSP-based platforms.
- Collaborate with system engineers, product owners, UX/UI designers, QA, and integration teams to deliver end-to-end functionality.
- Work with Android framework and platform components to implement customer requirements on the application-level.
- Analyze, debug, and resolve software defects, performance issues, and integration problems.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, unit testing development, and documentation preparation activities based on the project specific processes.
- Support software integration, verification, and validation activities in CI environments and vehicle setups.
Requirements

Must have
- Experience with Android (Kotlin/Java)
- Experience with QT
- Scripting languages: Python, Bash, Lua
- Flutter, Dart
- 5+ years in Automotive
- Deep AAOS architecture knowledge (Car Service, VHAL, system apps)
- Expert-level Android knowledge including system internals
- Expertise in performance tuning, concurrency, and optimization
- Experience with AOSP build system (Soong/Bazel)
- Experience with Git-based version control, Jenkins and code review practices.
- Ability to analyze logs and debug issues using logcat, adb, dumpsys, profilers, and related tools.
- Experience working in Linux-based development environments.
- Good understanding of software quality practices, including unit testing, integration testing, static analysis, and CI/CD workflows.
- Good English communication skills and ability to work effectively in distributed, cross-functional teams.
- Location is Bucharest and work from office is mandatory due to the day-to-day work with project specific HW.

- Experience working according to Agile practices in an international automotive project environment.
- Experience with Yocto and BSP customization.
