We are looking for an ambitious, experienced, driven, and solution-oriented individual that thrives in a fast-paced, cutting-edge, technology-driven environment. People that work at Keywords are passionate, talented, committed, and resourceful. Human talent is our most valuable resource, and as a business, we thrive on diversity, celebrate uniqueness, and work as teams whether we are physically together in one of our 70+ studios around the world or working together virtually.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Managers to gather, clarify, and refine requirements, then break them into well-scoped features and technical tasks.
  • Design, implement, and maintain Android features while ensuring clean architecture, testability, and performance.
  • Contribute to backend services or frontend dashboards that support the mobile product (depending on your primary secondary skill).
  • Own existing features end-to-end: monitoring, debugging, optimization, and iterative improvements.
  • Write high-quality, maintainable code with appropriate unit, integration, and UI tests.
  • Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical design documents.
  • Collaborate with designers, QA, and other engineers to deliver polished, reliable experiences.
  • Identify technical debt and propose pragmatic improvements that balance velocity and long-term health.
  • Mentor more junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to team processes around CI/CD, release management, and observability.

Requirements

Required Technical Skills

Android

  • Strong command of Java, MVVM architecture, and clean code practices.
  • Deep familiarity with Activities, Fragments, and WebViews.
  • Production experience with network layers (Retrofit/OkHttp or equivalent), WebSockets, and efficient data handling.
  • Deep expertise in FCM Push Notifications and other optimal data fetching mechanisms.
  • Proficiency with the Gradle build system, dependency management, and multi-module projects.
  • Experience shipping apps to production (Play Store or enterprise distribution).
  • Proficiency in using AI tools for accelerated development workflows.
  • Hybrid app development experience with platforms like ReactNative/Unity/Cocos2dx, etc.

Backend or Frontend (one track required)

  • Backend track: Experience designing and operating large-scale systems, API design, data modeling, and cloud deployment (preferably AWS).
  • Frontend track: Experience building high-traffic dashboards or web applications using React (or similar), modern JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, and deployment platforms such as Vercel.
  • Comfort working across the stack when needed (e.g., integrating Android clients with backend services or embedding web content).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform, Jetpack Compose, or modern Android UI frameworks.
  • Familiarity with real-time systems (WebSockets, push notifications, background work).
  • Exposure to infrastructure-as-code, monitoring/observability tools, or performance optimization at scale.
  • Prior experience in a product-driven, cross-functional team environment.

We Offer

  • Competitive salary
  • Opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment
  • Collaborative and inclusive workplace culture
