Join our team as an Associate or Mid-Level Guidance Navigation & Control Engineer (Navigation Systems/Inertial Sensor) in El Segundo, California.

Responsibilities

  • Develop system architecture solutions.
  • Plan and lead high NRE projects (Non-Recurring Engineering).
  • Resolve technical issues and ensure the spacecraft and system are flight worthy prior to delivery.
  • Develop solutions to assure customer satisfaction.
  • Perform trade studies to meet program requirements.
  • Assist with analyses to evaluate and optimize total system performance to meet customer and operational needs.
  • Teach and mentor other systems engineers.

Requirements

  • Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance (US Citizenship required).
    • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
    • Experience with deriving and allocating requirements and showing traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
    • 1+ years of experience in systems engineering (requirements definition, allocation, verification, architecture design, and trade design).
    • Experience working with cross-discipline engineering teams.
    • Experience supporting deliverables for both internal and external customers.
    • Experience with control theory and design.
    • 1+ years of experience with propulsion GNC, Avionics design/integration.
  • Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • Exposure to PDR/CDR processes and flight test support.
    • Basic programming skills in Python and/or C/C++.
    • Hands-on experience developing or using simulation models to validate control designs.
    • Familiarity with model-based design and analysis tools, particularly MATLAB/Simulink.
    • Working knowledge of avionics sensors and actuators.
    • Experience working in a lab environment, including hardware/software integration, test setup, and data collection/analysis.
