Associate to join Criminal Law practice

About the Position

ETERNA LAW, ranked among the top 8 law firms in Ukraine and in the top tier by Legal 500 EMEA 2022, is seeking a highly motivated attorney to join our Criminal Law practice. Our firm is recommended in various areas including commercial law, corporate and M&A, dispute resolution, taxation, real estate, employment, energy, intellectual property, international trade, banking, finance, and capital markets.

Responsibilities

• Participation in local/regional/global projects as a team member
• Analyzing cases under Ukrainian and foreign legislation
• Providing legal advice to clients in the field of criminal law
• Preparation and filing of procedural documents at all stages of criminal proceedings
• Monitoring of legislation (changes in legislation in the field of criminal law and procedure)
• Participation in negotiations on projects
• Communicating with clients

Requirements

• Higher legal education
• Practical experience of work as an attorney in the sphere of criminal law not less than 3 years
• Certificate of the right to engage in the legal profession
• Excellent knowledge of the legislation
• Ground knowledge of criminal law, as well as the process
• Practical positive experience of self-directed case at all stages of criminal proceedings
• Fluency in English
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Good team player
• Independent decision making
• Attention to detail
