Ausbildung Mechatroniker:in im Streckennetz 2027

Deutsche Bahn AG is looking for an apprentice mechatronics technician for a 3.5-year training program starting September 2027 in Nuremberg, Germany. If you enjoy tinkering, are interested in technology, and want your work to help ensure that rail transport functions smoothly, then you are exactly right with us!

Responsibilities

In your apprenticeship, you will:

Become a specialist in the maintenance, upkeep, and repair of our complex track construction machines (rail grinding machines, milling machines, tamping machines, measuring trains, locomotives, etc.)
Drive our track maintenance vehicles to our construction sites and travel nationwide
Learn about mechanical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Familiarize yourself with the programming, installation, and testing of modern hardware and software components
Create error and fault diagnoses as part of your apprenticeship as a mechatronics technician
Learn how to competently address defects

Requirements

You have (soon) successfully completed school and your school diploma is recognized in Germany
Your German language skills correspond to at least the B2 language level
You have manual skills and enjoy tinkering in your free time
Your knowledge of mathematics and physics is particularly good
You are reliable and team-oriented, as this is what makes us
You work very accurately and like to lend a hand
You are interested in shift and assembly work and are also willing to travel to different locations

Attractive Remuneration: Depending on the year of apprenticeship between 1,324 Euro and 1,531 Euro per month plus Christmas bonus. *Salary amounts are valid from 01.07.2026. The employment conditions apply to the vast majority of apprentices in the DB Group.
Fixed Contact Persons: We offer you a practical and future-oriented apprenticeship with fixed contact persons who will accompany you on your journey.
Possibility of Takeover: If you successfully complete your vocational training, there is the possibility of being taken over by the company.
