Back end Developer (Ruby on Rails)

About the Position

We are looking for a Back end Developer (Ruby on Rails) to join our fast-growing Dutch tech start-up. You will be instrumental in developing our product inventory management system and contributing to a robust and future-proof architecture.

Responsibilities

• Developing our product inventory management system.
• Setting up a robust and future-proof architecture.
• Discussing company-wide choices with regards to the technology stack, architecture, infrastructure, and development processes.
• Translating designs into high-quality code.

Requirements

• Completed a relevant Bachelor or Master.
• 2+ years of experience as a Software Developer.
• English Upper-Intermediate.
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails.
• Experience with C#, Python, Java is a plus.
• Familiarity with React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and/or Postgres is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Ruby-on-Rails for backend, React for frontend, Ant Design as component library, GitHub Actions, and Heroku.
• Test-driven development using tools like RSpec for backend unit and integration tests, Capybara for end-to-end tests, and Jest with Enzyme for frontend tests.
