SOLCOM GmbH is seeking a BI Developer / Technical BI Consultant with 3-5 years experience to join our team in a remote role. In this role, you will actively contribute to the development of a modern business intelligence landscape. You will connect technical expertise with a good understanding of business requirements, supporting the analysis, evaluation, and future-proofing of existing BI, reporting, and planning applications. You will work with Qlik and the corporate performance management tool BOARD, developing powerful solutions for reporting, analysis, and planning. You will assist in optimizing existing applications as well as their replacement or migration. You will translate requirements from the business units into clear technical concepts, coordinate solution approaches with relevant stakeholders, and ensure a structured, sustainable implementation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate existing BI, reporting, and planning applications.
• Support the replacement, migration, and modernization of existing applications.
• Develop BI solutions, dashboards, and reports with Qlik and BOARD.
• Translate business requirements into technical concepts and implementable solutions.
• Work on solutions for reporting, data analysis, and corporate planning.
• Design and develop data models, data integrations, and interfaces.
• Ensure high quality, traceability, and user-friendliness of the developed solutions.
• Coordinate with business units and technical contacts, and accompany requirements from capture to implementation.

Requirements

Must-haves

For this position, you bring solid practical experience in business intelligence development and a strong interest in reporting, analysis, and planning solutions. Very good knowledge of the corporate performance management tool BOARD and practical experience with Qlik, ideally Qlik Sense or QlikView, are particularly important. You should be able to structurally capture complex business requirements, recognize relevant connections, and develop solid technical solutions from them. Experience in the replacement, migration, or modernization of existing applications is highly beneficial, as you will be involved in the development of a future-proof system landscape. In addition to your technical skills, you convince with an independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working. You communicate clearly, work reliably, and can explain technical matters understandably to different target groups. Ideally, you have completed a degree or training in computer science, business informatics, data & analytics, or a comparable qualification. However, your practical experience, technical curiosity, and your commitment to creating sustainable BI solutions are most important.

• Very good knowledge of the CPM tool BOARD.
• Experience with Qlik, ideally Qlik Sense or QlikView.
• Solid practical experience in business intelligence and BI development.
• Experience in the replacement, migration, or modernization of existing applications.
• Knowledge of the design and implementation of reporting, analysis, and planning solutions.
• Good understanding of data models, data integration, and interfaces.
• Ideally, a degree or training in computer science, business informatics, data & analytics, or a comparable field.

• Confident communication with technical and business contacts.
