About the Position
We are seeking a Business Analyst with solid experience in business analysis and systems analysis to join our climate action tech startup in Kyiv, Warsaw, or remotely.
About the Client
Our client is a tech startup and media platform registered in Stockholm, Sweden. The organization operates as the world’s largest media platform dedicated exclusively to climate action. The company functions as both a review platform and a social network. Its core mission is to democratize knowledge about climate solutions, reduce global climate impact, and mobilize global action toward a fossil-free future. Rather than viewing the climate crisis passively, the platform leverages the power of social media to connect individuals, hold leaders and companies accountable, and amplify the demand for transparency and systemic change.
About the Project
The core deliverable of the project is the platform’s review web application and associated mobile systems, which allow users free of charge to create climate reviews, interact, and collaborate.
Key technical and operational characteristics of the project infrastructure include:
- Green Infrastructure: Since 2018, the review platform has run entirely on renewable energy to minimize its digital carbon footprint.
- Eco-Conscious Operations: The broader project operations strictly emphasize circular use of IT equipment, minimized travel, and digital-first meetings.
- Tech Stack Ecosystem: The development involves robust infrastructure supporting web and mobile applications, utilizing languages and frameworks like Python for backend services, DevOps pipelines, React for front-end web engineering, and React Native for cross-platform mobile experiences.
Responsibilities
- Requirement Engineering: Elicit, analyze, and document comprehensive functional and non-functional requirements from stakeholders.
- User Story Creation: Draft clear, detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and use-case scenarios that developers can seamlessly execute.
- Scope Verification: Partner with the Team Lead to validate technical constraints and ensure business logic aligns with system capabilities.
- Documentation Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and up-to-date knowledge base or product backlog.
Requirements
- Communication: Fluent, high-level English skills to facilitate clear documentation and stakeholder discussions.
- Style & Approach: Analytical, thorough, and highly collaborative; structured thinker who thrives on bringing clarity to complex ideas.
- Experience: Solid background in business analysis, systems analysis, or product ownership within web/mobile app ecosystems.
- Artifacts: Experience building wireframes, process flow diagrams, and detailed data mappings.
