Business Analyst

About the Position

We are currently looking for a Business Analyst to join our Business Quality Assurance team in either Lisbon or Braga. You’ll play a key role with a strong focus on business outcomes. You’ll act as the main bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, providing critical recommendations for project success. You’ll be responsible for gathering and understanding customer needs and performing critical analysis to solve business problems.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the gathering, analysis, and documentation of functional and non-functional requirements;
• Collaborate closely with both the client (business side) and the development team;
• Propose the best functional solutions to address business challenges;
• Write user stories that clearly communicate client needs to the technical team, minimizing uncertainty and assumptions;
• Define specific acceptance criteria for each user story, outlining the conditions for completion;
• Facilitate discussions and support the overall acceptance of the final solution;
• Ensure adherence to the adopted methodology and established processes;
• Guarantee that the final solution meets the defined and agreed-upon requirements.

Requirements

Professional Experience

• 2 to 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT projects or similar roles.

Technical Experience

• Proficiency in writing specifications using Gherkin language and experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Solid knowledge of requirements gathering and process modeling (e.g., BPMN).

Skills

• Critical thinking and strategic vision (Big Picture Thinking).
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Languages

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of shell scripting;
• Knowledge of Java or Python programming;
• Knowledge of tools such as Eclipse, Maven, Jenkins, GIT, JIRA, or equivalent.
