Cloud Architekt (m/w/d)

About the Position

Medialine EuroTrade AG is seeking an experienced and dedicated Cloud Architect (m/w/d) to join our Managed Services Team. This role will focus on enhancing our IT infrastructure with modern cloud and network technologies.

Responsibilities

• Conception, Planning, and Development: Design, plan, and continuously improve our certified, highly available cloud and data center infrastructures (CompanyCloud).
• Technology Selection and Integration: Choose, architect, and integrate modern virtualization, network, and storage solutions.
• Network Stack Development: Develop and operate our CompanyCloud network stack based on modern technologies, focusing on VMware NSX and VXLAN, as well as vendors like Arista, Fortinet, and Dell.
• Security and Identity Management: Develop and implement security and identity & access management concepts.
• Backup and Disaster Recovery: Design backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, Dell Data Domain).
• Network Policy Management: Support the management of routing and ISP policies (OSPF, BGP), LIR management, and the operation of our Autonomous System.
• Monitoring and Surveillance: Support the integration and optimization of monitoring and proactive surveillance systems (checkMK, PRTG).

Requirements

• Professional Experience: Several years of experience in operating and developing complex cloud, network, and IT infrastructures, preferably in a service provider environment.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in virtualization (VMware vSphere, NSX) or comparable hypervisors and enterprise-grade network architectures.
  • Experience in administering enterprise security stacks and their implementation.
  • Good knowledge of backup, recovery, and storage solutions (Veeam, Dell EMC).
  • Knowledge of network protocols (OSPF, BGP) and IP resource management (RIPE).
  • Basic knowledge of data center certifications (BSI C5, ISO27001, ISO27017, and ISO27018).
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills, initiative, and team orientation.
  • Fluent in German and English.
