Cloud Engineer - Graduate Development Program

ION Group is a Software Product Company with a global footprint in the FinTech sector. Our Graduate Development Program is a three-year journey designed for recent graduates who look beyond the obvious, challenge existing processes, and are driven to automate and reinvent the way things work.

This program is structured into 4 progressive phases, each with distinct learning objectives. Tasks evolve according to your abilities and interests, ensuring the experience is as individual as you are.

From day one, you join ION on a full-time permanent contract, carry real accountability on live projects, and be paired with senior professionals who guide your development throughout the entire journey.

Responsibilities

Across phases, you will gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art methodologies and technologies in our agile product development environment, working across Cloud infrastructure, DevSecOps practices, and security. Your work will include:

• Designing, deploying, and managing Cloud infrastructure and services
• Working with containerization technologies and Kubernetes to support scalable, resilient systems
• Contributing to DevSecOps pipelines, embedding security at every stage of the development lifecycle
• Collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering obtained within the last year or currently in progress, with a strong academic record
• Proficiency in Python or at least one scripting language, with basic knowledge of Cloud, Kubernetes, and cybersecurity
• Strong communicator, collaborative by nature, and fluent in English (B2+)
• Based in Pisa or willing to relocate; non-EU candidates must hold a valid EU work permit

We Offer

• Competitive salary: €33,000 - €38,000 a year
• Full-time permanent contract
• Hybrid work location
