We are hiring a Data & Automation Analyst for an international investment management organization operating across Luxembourg, the UK, and wider European markets.

The company manages large-scale alternative investment activities and operates within a highly regulated financial environment.

This is an entry-level opportunity for someone with a technical background who enjoys building practical solutions and working with data. The role combines software and workflow automation with ongoing data analysis and data quality management.

You will work closely with compliance and risk teams to understand manual processes, turn them into reliable digital workflows, and improve the data used across internal operations. Previous compliance or risk experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Build internal applications, scripts, and automated workflows that reduce repetitive manual work across compliance and risk operations.
• Develop and maintain lightweight internal web applications and practical business tools.
• Use scripting, low-code platforms, and AI-assisted development technologies to rapidly deliver working solutions.
• Write maintainable and documented code, participate in code reviews, and resolve technical issues.
• Connect internal and external systems through REST APIs and other integration methods.
• Transform data from business platforms into structured and query-ready datasets.
• Write and optimize SQL queries and support data modelling activities.
• Develop data validation rules, automated checks, and alerts to identify quality issues.
• Monitor data flows, investigate inconsistencies, and support the resolution of underlying data problems.
• Support reporting and analytical processes across the organization's data environment.
• Work directly with compliance and risk colleagues to understand operational challenges and translate them into simple technical solutions.
• Maintain clear technical documentation to ensure applications and automated processes remain auditable and maintainable.
• Help establish reliable data management practices focused on accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timely information.

Requirements

• Ability to build software applications, scripts, or automated workflows through professional, academic, or personal project experience.
• Comfortable writing and modifying code using Python, SQL, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar technologies.
• Understanding of relational databases and structured data.
• Interest in automation and improving manual business processes through technology.
• Strong attention to data accuracy, consistency, and quality.
• Ability to break complex or manual workflows into clear technical steps.
• Comfortable working with non-technical stakeholders and translating business needs into practical solutions.
• Logical and structured approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Interest in learning about financial regulation, compliance, and risk processes.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate or Power Apps.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 technologies and automation tools.
• Knowledge of Azure services such as App Service, Azure SQL, Entra ID, or Microsoft Graph.
• Experience integrating applications or systems through REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Git and standard software development practices.
• Exposure to React, Next.js, or Node.js.
• Knowledge of ETL processes, data pipelines, or Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience working with AI-assisted development tools or LLM APIs.
• Familiarity with PowerShell or VBA.
• Previous exposure to financial services, asset management, real estate, or another regulated industry.
• Interest in RegTech and technology-driven regulatory solutions.
• French language skills.
