Data Engineer

About the Position

Join TMC as a Data Engineer in Milan, Italy. Develop and maintain ETL processes for managing large data volumes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL processes scalable to manage large volumes of data;
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and provide high-quality solutions;
• Optimize data storage and retrieval processes in relational databases, with a focus on Oracle;
• Deploy and manage applications in containers using Kubernetes to ensure efficient deployment and orchestration;
• Apply GitOps principles to simplify code release and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment;
• Solve data-related problems and ensure their integrity and security.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent disciplines;
• At least 2 years of experience in data engineering activities;
• Solid programming knowledge in Python, with experience in data analysis and ETL processes;
• Familiarity with Kubernetes for container orchestration;
• Understanding of GitOps principles and CI/CD practices;
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
• Excellent communication skills in English and Italian, both written and verbal;
• Strong motivation for the Employeneurship model of TMC.

We Offer

• A permanent employment contract and a gross annual salary (RAL) of at least €34,000, in accordance with the National Collective Labor Agreement (CCNL) for Trade, Tertiary, Distribution, and Services.
• A competitive compensation package that includes a share of project profits, an annual training and professional development budget of €4,000 net, and an annual welfare credit.
