About the Position
At EmbedIT, we build technology that powers one of the world's leading financial services groups. As a Data Warehouse Engineer, you'll help design, develop and support data solutions that enable business-critical decision-making across international markets.
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with data at scale, solving complex technical challenges, and taking ownership from development through deployment and production support. Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain Data Warehouse solutions built on Oracle technologies.
- Create and optimise SQL and PL/SQL code to process and transform large volumes of data.
- Build and maintain data pipelines from source systems through staging, dimensional and reporting layers.
- Deliver high-quality solutions through testing, code reviews and deployment activities.
- Manage releases and support deployments across development, testing and production environments.
- Monitor production systems, investigate incidents and identify root causes of data issues.
- Contribute to data modelling and solution design.
- Collaborate with analysts, developers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Support operational excellence through continuous improvement of processes, tools and standards.
- Mentor junior team members and help grow technical expertise across the team.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development.
- Experience working within Data Warehouse or Data Engineering environments.
- Understanding of ETL processes, data integration and data modelling principles.
- Experience with version control and CI/CD practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex deliverables.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience performing code reviews and supporting less experienced colleagues.
