Database Engineer

About the Position

The Interface Financial Group is seeking a Database Engineer to join our rapidly expanding financial services team. This role offers the opportunity to manage and support existing systems, develop new systems, and interface with third-party IT vendors. Responsibilities

• Manage and support existing systems
• Develop and/or oversee the development of new systems
• Interface with third-party IT vendors
• Ensure on-going support of web-based applications

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems management
• Minimum of 2-3 years of related work experience
• Knowledge and experience in systems analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and support of web-based applications
• 2 to 3 years of Java and JavaScript experience along with other programming languages and methodologies
• Relational database and database administration knowledge
• Experience and knowledge of mobile and cloud-based applications would be a plus
• Knowledgeable in multiple operating systems
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Must be a team player with the ability to work well with others
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff and users
• Knowledge of support systems a plus
