About the Position
We are seeking a skilled Database Engineer to manage and support existing systems and develop new systems in a fast-paced financial service company. The individual will have the opportunity to interface with third-party IT vendors and work in a rewarding environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support existing systems
- Develop and/or oversee development of new systems
- Interface with third-party IT vendors
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems management
- Minimum 2-3 years related work experience
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
Skills
- Knowledge and experience in systems analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of web-based applications
- 2 to 3 years Java and Javascript experience along with other programming languages and methodologies
- Relational database and database administration knowledge
- Experience and knowledge of mobile and cloud-based applications would be a plus
- Knowledgeable in multiple operating systems
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Must be a team player with the ability to work well with others
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff and users
- Knowledge of support systems a plus
