About the Position

Engineering Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to join our team at The Interface Financial Group. This role offers the opportunity to work in a vibrant, emerging company with a rich history of nearly 50 years. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IT project management and application software development, with hands-on technical experience in concept development, requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing of enterprise systems.

Location: Bethesda, MD (Remote during COVID)

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year

Employment Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities

  • Perform overall task management including planning, scheduling, staffing, work allocation, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Work directly with customers to understand their priorities, define goals and strategies for improvement, and resolve issues.
  • Lead and participate in system analysis and verification efforts covering requirements, design, code, integration, and documentation.
  • Analyze requirements, evaluate alternative solutions, assess development artifacts, and verify/test implementations.
  • Analyze program processes, issues, risks, and business performance metrics.
  • Manage tasks within a small team of expert consultants.
  • Investigate complex technical issues related to specific client concerns.

Requirements

  • Education: BS in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years of experience in software development.
    • 2+ years of hands-on web application development and testing experience (React, Redux).
    • Experience working on programs to define and build cloud-native software products as a platform at scale.
  • Skills:
    • Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to operate with independence and autonomy.
    • Demonstrated experience breaking down problems, organizing work, planning sprints, and delivering technical programs in agile delivery models (scrum, Kanban, etc.).
    • Proven track record of data-driven decision-making and applying continuous improvement methodologies across teams.
    • Ability to debate delivery strategy with business teams, architects, engineers, and designers.
    • Ability to communicate to executives, peers, and staff with impact, eloquence, and authenticity.
    • Demonstrated experience building relationships, partnering with, and influencing dependent teams while commanding the respect of individuals across the organization.

We Offer

  • Competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $120,000 per year, based on capability and experience.
