About the Position

We are actively seeking a dedicated DevOps & Platform Engineer with a focus on pipeline creation and migration from tools such as Jenkins and TeamCity to GitLab Runners / CICD. You will craft, execute, and roll out cloud and infrastructure solutions within the Alternative Asset Management industry. Your role involves capturing user requirements, scripting across multiple languages, leveraging AWS services and GitLab pipelines, and supporting teams on cloud and infrastructure needs. You will address challenges spanning from building cloud services to orchestrating infrastructure expansion and driving cost optimisation, with room to propose your own innovative ideas in an entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to devise effective cloud and infrastructure solutions for business and technical challenges within an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Leverage CICD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, and TeamCity to facilitate streamlined development and deployment processes, including creating or migrating pipelines and GitLab CICD components / templates.
  • Automate manual tasks through scripting in Python, Bash, C#, and other languages; utilise Terraform and IaC tools to streamline infrastructure as code practices.
  • Work with AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, DynamoDB, ECS, and IAM to architect, configure, and maintain a robust and secure cloud environment; ensure cloud security standards are upheld throughout migrations.
  • Provide ongoing support to multiple teams on cloud and infrastructure-related needs; off-hours incident support may occasionally be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience (EC2, S3, VPC, DynamoDB, IAM, ECS, Lambda); ability to debug and work with complex AWS architectures.
  • Proven experience with CICD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, TeamCity) including pipeline creation and migration.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, C#) and experience automating tasks in Linux environments.
  • Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and in-depth knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
