DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes / Video Infrastructure) (m/f/d)

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join Staige GmbH, a company at the forefront of AI technology and real-time video analysis. If you thrive in Kubernetes environments and enjoy building reliable infrastructure for video, streaming, and AI workloads, we want you on our team!

Responsibilities

• Operate and further develop our Kubernetes-based platform for video management and AI analysis in customer environments, including air-gapped installations.
• Manage our GitOps workflows, including update strategies, versioning, and rollback concepts.
• Automate the provisioning and configuration of IP camera fleets.
• Operate and optimize streaming, messaging, and database components in conjunction with GPU inference workloads.
• Manage storage connectivity and retention concepts for high-volume video recordings.
• Translate security and compliance requirements into robust technical concepts-from encryption and certificate management to audit-proof logging, system hardening, and controlled patch management.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in Linux, Kubernetes, and modern deployment workflows (GitOps, CI/CD).
• Proficiency in working with containers, automation, and infrastructure-as-code or configuration management.
• Experience with video streaming technologies or the willingness to get up to speed quickly.
• Foundational understanding of network technology and IT security (TLS, certificates, network access control) and enjoy working at the interface with security teams.
• Ideally, experience with IP cameras, message brokers, databases, or GPU workloads in Kubernetes.
• Practical experience in environments with high security or compliance requirements (e.g., critical infrastructure, government agencies, regulated industries).
• Pragmatic, tailored solutions over unnecessary complexity and empirical hypothesis testing over discussions.
• Very good command of German.
