DevOps Engineer (Oracle Cloud)

About the Position

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer (Oracle Cloud) to join Group107. You will be responsible for the build, automation, and reliability of cloud infrastructure on Oracle Cloud (OCI), working closely with development and QA teams to ship and operate services with confidence. This role is ideal for an engineer who can independently apply infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD patterns, optimize existing systems, and consult on technology choices for medium-complexity problems.

Responsibilities

• Design, provision, and maintain cloud infrastructure on Oracle Cloud (OCI) using infrastructure-as-code
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that automate testing, build, and deployment
• Operate containerized workloads on Kubernetes and Docker, ensuring availability and scalability
• Set up and tune monitoring, alerting, and logging so issues are caught before they reach users
• Work effectively with development and QA teams to streamline release cycles and resolve infrastructure issues
• Identify and apply optimizations across cost, performance, and reliability
• Contribute to documentation and propose improvements to deployment and operational processes

Requirements

• Good knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) - 3+ years of hands-on cloud experience
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform
• Good knowledge of Linux administration and shell scripting
• Strong knowledge of Docker for containerization
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of GitOps / GitFlow workflows and version control with Git
• Experience with monitoring and alerting using Prometheus and Grafana
• Good problem-solving skills with a focus on root-cause analysis
• Ability to work independently on medium-complexity tasks
• Effective communication with technical and non-technical team members
• Willingness to participate in sprint planning and effort estimation
• Optimization mindset across cost, performance, and reliability

Nice to Have

• Experience with configuration management (Ansible)
• Scripting in Python for automation tooling
• Exposure to multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
• Familiarity with secrets management and security hardening
• Relevant cloud certification (e.g., OCI Architect Associate)
