Distribusion Technologies is the world’s leading ground transportation marketplace, providing seamless access to ground transportation online. We connect bus, rail, and ferry operators in over 70 countries with major online retailers like Google Maps and Booking.com. We are seeking a Director of Finance to lead our Accounting and Finance function in a remote or hybrid role based in Berlin, Germany.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop the Accounting and Finance function, ensuring high-quality work and achieving objectives.
• Oversee financial operations including Invoicing, Accounting, Controlling, budgeting, liquidity, and cash flow management.
• Manage global clearing and settlement.
• Drive process improvements within the Accounting and Finance function using automation and technology.
• Organize internal and external reporting compliant with financial regulations.
• Build and maintain relationships with Banks, Accounting Offices, Financial Authorities, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor and manage the company's cash flow and foreign exchange.
• Analyze key financial metrics and provide insights to senior management.
• Collaborate with the CFO and other senior leaders to develop and execute financial strategies.
• Support strategic initiatives, business decisions, and financial planning with cross-functional teams.
• Provide guidance and support during due diligence processes for potential funding rounds.
• Lead, develop, and motivate the finance team, setting clear goals.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience, preferably trained at a Big 4 firm.
• Industry experience in travel and/or payments is preferred.
• Experience leading high-performing teams (10+ people).
• Strong strategic, conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to take responsibility.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, taxation rules, international regulations, and financial processes.
• Transactional exposure and M&A experience are helpful.
• Fluent in English and German.
