Responsibilities

• Verifies routine product conformance to design requirements
• Provides objective evidence of results
• Segregates and controls non-conforming items. Perform preliminary review and disposition of non-conformance
• Under limited supervision, inspects incoming parts/material, outgoing orders verify that certification is correct, checks parts for processing, checks special orders, daily use of micrometers, gauge controls, calipers, indicators, etc. Provides mentorship throughout the Inspection team.
• Conducts dimensional inspections per design record and documented AQL levels; Conducts visual inspections for obvious defects.
• Reviews and dispositions all certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS9100 and Company Quality standards; communicates with vendors as needed. Disposition and control of non-conforming products.

Requirements

• Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years’ related work experience using calipers, ring/pin gages, comparator.
  • 3+ years’ experience in QA inspection methods and procedures reading and interpreting drawings or blueprints
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel)

• This role requires passing a documented color and near vision exam.

Nice to Have

• Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Previous aerospace inspection experience
  • Knowledge of AS9100 requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
