Expert Engineer

About the Position

We are seeking an Expert Engineer with 5+ years' experience in dual-fuel system development for marine applications to lead innovative marine gas supply systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of marine dual-fuel (LNG/LPG/methanol + conventional fuels) gas supply systems
• Conduct thermodynamic analysis and CFD simulations for system optimization
• Develop innovative solutions for fuel storage, vaporization, pressure regulation, and safety controls
• Oversee prototype testing and compliance with IMO/IGF/Class Society regulations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, automation) for system integration
• Prepare technical documentation including P&IDs, risk assessments, and certification packages
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies in alternative marine fuels
• Manage R&D projects from concept to commercialization
• Liaise with suppliers and classification societies for component certification

Requirements

• Master's/PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field
• 5+ years' hands-on experience in dual-fuel system development (marine applications preferred)
• Deep understanding of:
  • Cryogenic fuel handling and gas combustion dynamics
  • MARPOL Annex VI and IGF Code requirements
  • Risk assessment methodologies (HAZID, HAZOP)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and simulation tools (MATLAB/ANSYS)
• Proven track record in full-cycle product development
• PMP certification and experience with Agile methodologies preferred
• Fluent English (IMO working language proficiency)
