About the Role

As a Forward Deployed Engineer Applied AI, you will actively shape how we bring Decision Intelligence into the enterprise environment. You will understand the business in depth, build the right solution on the paretos platform, and simultaneously develop our product further. Your daily tasks will be varied: you will spend most of your time with our team in the office, but also occasional on-site work at the customer's location is part of your role.

Responsibilities

• Conducting Discovery and Requirement Workshops at eye-level with specialist teams from Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, Operations, and C-Levels.
• Translating business requirements into concrete platform configurations and moderating data-driven decisions with the customer.
• Configuring forecast and replenishment solutions on the paretos platform, agent-assisted and iteratively.
• Connecting customer data and defining our semantic data layer as the basis for accurate forecasts and responses from our agent Socrates.
• Ensuring that results reach the customer workflow through clean handovers to ERP or planning systems.
• Building dashboards, data processing, and creative solution components through Vibe Engineering that create real value in the use case.
• Converting recurring tasks into skills and actively expanding our internal agent structure: Agent Workflows, MCP Integrations, Custom Skills.
• Creating presentations and documentation predominantly AI-assisted: quickly, structured, to the point.

Typical application areas in which you will work:

• Demand Forecasting: Identifying the right forecast drivers, data connection, model configuration.
• Replenishment & Inventory Optimization: End-to-end – from demand forecasting to automated order suggestions.
• Deploying Custom Applications: Solve individually relevant problems for our customers and bring the solution from conception to application.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role, such as Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Implementation Consultant, or Software Engineer with consulting experience. Former technical founders are expressly welcome.
• Enjoy customer and project work: changing contexts, different stakeholders, and real responsibility for the result.
• Strong data affinity: You dive deep into data sets, recognize causal chains, and want to understand processes in detail.
• Proven AI-first work. Agents, LLMs, Claude Code, and Vibe Coding are standard, not an exception.
• Practical experience with LLMs and agent systems, including prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, and deployment in production.
• High level of self-responsibility and the ability to navigate complex organizations confidently, even with ambiguity.
• Clear, convincing communication, both technically and non-technically, with a low ego.
• German at native level or C1, fluent English.
• Bonus: Supply Chain / FMCG, Finance / Controlling, Pharma / Life Sciences, ERP / BI Systems, S&OP Processes, AI Deployment Patterns.
