Full Stack Web Developer (React / Ruby-on-Rails)

About the Position

We are looking for a Full Stack Web Developer (React / Ruby-on-Rails) to join our fast-growing Dutch tech start-up. Our platform allows various brands to list and sell their products, with 90 active brands and over 600 on the waiting list.

Responsibilities

• Developing our e-commerce storefront for web and mobile.
• Building our design system with reusable components.
• Setting up a robust and future-proof architecture.
• Discussing companywide choices with regards to the technology stack, architecture, infrastructure, and development processes.
• Translating designs into high-quality code.

Requirements

• Completed relevant Bachelor or Master.
• 2+ years of experience as a Software Developer.
• English Upper-Intermediate.
• Experience with setting up production-ready React frontend architectures with Redux or React Query.
• Main experience with React and Ruby on Rails or experience in C#, Python, Java.
• Extra experience with React Native and Typescript.

Nice to Have

• Work with Ruby-on-Rails for backend, React for frontend, Ant Design as component library, GitHub Actions, and Heroku.
• Test-driven development using tools like RSpec for backend unit and integration tests, Capybara for end-to-end tests, and Jest with Enzyme for frontend tests.
