General Counsel / Chief Legal Officer

About the Position
We are seeking a General Counsel / Chief Legal Officer to join our team. You will be responsible for overseeing all legal and compliance matters, managing legal affairs, providing strategic legal advice, ensuring compliance with regulations, and coordinating with external law firms when needed. This role requires a combination of legal expertise, leadership, and strategic thinking to support our company’s growth while maintaining legal and regulatory integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal guidance on TOS/T&C, privacy policy, (contractor) contracts, intellectual property, data privacy, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and implement compliance policies and oversee contract negotiation and review.
- Collaborate with external law firms on complex legal matters and strategies.
- Offer cross-functional legal support.
Requirements
- JD degree and active Bar membership.
- 7+ years of legal experience.
- Strong knowledge of tech, data privacy, and intellectual property.
- Previous experience with very fast-growing bootstrapped or VC-backed SaaS companies, ideally in the sales engagement space.
