About the Position

We are seeking a Chief Legal Counsel with 2+ years of experience in banking or finance to join our innovative fintech company in a hybrid or remote format.

Responsibilities

• Development and maintenance of payment service agreements (standard forms of contracts, public offers)
• Participation in the development/updating of the company's internal regulatory documents (regulations, procedures, regulations, instructions, business processes)
• Legal support for the provision of financial payment services, cash operations, currency operations, payment system work
• Providing methodological explanations to structural divisions on the application of regulatory legal acts
• Monitoring changes in legislation and their implementation
• Work with regulators, correspondence with the NBU and DPS
• Analysis of contracts with counterparties
• Control over the implementation of business processes in terms of compliance with legislation

Requirements

• Experience of 2+ years in banking or financial companies (methodologist-lawyer position will be a plus)
• Solid knowledge in banking, financial, commercial, and civil law, currency, and payment legislation
• Ability to analyze NBU regulatory legal acts regulating the activities of payment systems, the provision of financial payment services, currency operations, cross-border transfers, cash operations, as well as the opening and servicing of accounts
• Ability to analyze business processes of the company for compliance with legislative requirements, company licensing conditions, and preparation of legal opinions on the relevant business process
• Skills in analyzing and developing internal regulatory documents (regulations, procedures, regulations, instructions)
• Ability to develop, maintain typical forms of contracts, public offers for payment services
• Ability to work in a team, responsibility, attention to detail, and stress resistance
