Job description
About the Position
Inbank is a financial technology company with an EU banking license that connects merchants, consumers, and financial institutions on its next-generation embedded finance platform. Our financing solutions are embedded seamlessly into the shopping journey of 6,000+ retailers. This helps our merchant partners grow their businesses, while end customers benefit from a frictionless shopping experience wherever they are. With a focus on innovation and growth, we are looking for talented people to join our team of 440+ working across our offices in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and the Czech Republic.
Data is at the heart of how we understand our business, make decisions and build for the future. As our data capabilities continue to evolve, we’re looking for a Head of Data to shape how data is governed, used and scaled across Inbank - and turn it into an increasingly powerful asset for the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Own the Data Platform & BI ecosystem as products, setting the vision, roadmap and priorities based on business value, in partnership with business and domain leaders, and driving adoption across the organisation.
- Lead and develop the Data Platform & Analytics team, with accountability for its direction, performance and quality of delivery.
- Partner closely with the Data Platform Engineering Manager to translate business priorities into technical delivery and architecture.
- Own and drive company-wide data governance and the core enterprise data model, establishing clear data domains, ownership, policies, definitions and quality standards, as well as consistent metrics, dimensions and KPIs. Ensure governance is practical and embedded in everyday ways of working.
- Drive the evolution of Business Intelligence towards AI-enabled self-service analytics, underpinned by a well-governed and curated semantic data layer.
- Act as the competence lead for analysts across the company, establishing common standards and best practices, strengthening the analytics community through training and knowledge sharing, and driving the practical adoption of new analytics and AI capabilities.
- Own the data and analytical solutions supporting Finance, including month-end closing, regulatory and external reporting, management reporting and financial planning, ensuring they are reliable, scalable and fit for purpose.
Requirements
- Significant experience in senior data, analytics or BI leadership roles, with a track record of building or scaling data capabilities in complex, organisation-wide or group-wide environments.
- Strong people and functional leadership skills, with experience developing high-performing teams, setting clear direction and creating alignment across business and technology.
- Experience defining and implementing data strategy, governance, architecture and analytics capabilities across multiple business domains.
- Strong hands-on data expertise, including data modelling, metrics and definitions, BI and data quality, with the ability to stay close to the detail while operating at a strategic level.
- Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to understand business needs and translate them into scalable, practical data and analytics solutions.
- Experience in banking, consumer finance, fintech or a comparable financial services environment is strongly preferred; understanding of lending products and their economics is a strong advantage.
- A practical understanding of how AI can be applied to analytics, self-service BI, reporting and data quality, with an interest in turning emerging capabilities into real business value.
We Offer
At Inbank, you’ll have the freedom and trust to take ownership, make a real difference, and grow alongside us. You’ll be part of a dynamic, international environment where ideas are welcomed, collaboration happens across teams and markets, and you can clearly see how your work contributes to the bigger picture.
- Extra vacation days after your third year, giving you more time to recharge and switch off.
- 6 weeks of fully paid sabbatical after 4 years of great performance at Inbank.
- Wellbeing support through sports compensation or additional health insurance to help you stay active and healthy.
- A flexible, hybrid way of working built on trust, autonomy, and accountability.
- Opportunities to learn and grow by working with talented colleagues, sharing ideas, and taking on new challenges.
- Regular team events and additional perks that give us plenty of opportunities to connect, have fun, and celebrate successes together.

A Few Words from Your Future Manager
"I’m looking for someone who genuinely enjoys building and is excited by the opportunity to shape the roadmap, not simply execute one. Someone who can understand what our stakeholders need from data, translate those needs into clear priorities, and set the direction for a broader team working across data engineering, reporting, and analytics. Ideally, this person has seen what a strong, scalable data platform looks like in practice, but also understands the reality of building one - the challenges, trade-offs, and difficult choices along the way. They bring practical judgment about what works, what doesn’t, what matters most, and in what order to tackle it. Ultimately, I’m looking for someone who can combine strategic thinking with a hands-on, pragmatic mindset - someone who can create clarity, make decisions, and move our data capabilities forward."
Sounds like a fit?
Apply, and our recruitment team will be in touch. If you’re unsure but curious, apply anyway – we’re happy to explore together.
