Head of HR with German – Shared Services (m/f)

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced HR leader to take responsibility for the operational HR function within an international service environment. The role combines team leadership, service delivery management, and the continuous development of HR processes across the employee lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop the HR Shared Services team, creating a collaborative and high-performing working environment.
• Ensure the efficient, timely, and consistent delivery of operational HR services across the employee lifecycle.
• Take responsibility for the quality and effectiveness of services provided to employees and internal stakeholders.
• Define team priorities, set objectives, and monitor performance against agreed quality and service indicators.
• Analyse operational results and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service quality, and employee experience.
• Support the continued development and scalability of the HR service model.
• Lead selected transformation, optimisation, and process improvement initiatives.
• Promote the standardisation and harmonisation of HR processes across the organisation.
• Work closely with local HR teams, business representatives, IT, and other internal functions.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, digitalise, and automate operational HR activities.
• Prepare management reports, analyses, and recommendations related to service delivery, team performance, and HR operations.
• Ensure that processes are delivered in line with internal policies, organisational standards, and applicable regulations.

Requirements

• Several years of professional experience in HR Operations, HR Shared Services, employee administration, or a related HR area within a service-oriented environment.
• Fluent German and English language skills.
• Proven experience in leading, motivating, and developing teams.
• Strong understanding of operational HR processes across the employee lifecycle.
• Experience gained within a Shared Service Center, business services organisation, or an international company.
• Practical experience in managing service quality and operational performance using relevant indicators and standards.
• Experience in process improvement, transformation, standardisation, or change management.
• Strong interest in HR technology, digitalisation, and process automation.
• Ability to cooperate effectively with stakeholders across different functions, countries, and organisational levels.
• Strong leadership, communication, organisational, and analytical skills.
• A proactive, solution-oriented approach and the ability to operate effectively in a changing environment.
